FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What age group are the workshops for?
    Each workshop or programme will say the age group they are designed for. Most Curious Creator programmes are designed for children age 7-11. Older children are welcome to attend. If younger children would like to join we ask that they are accompanied by an adult. Adult would need to book an 'Accompanying Adult' ticket.
  • How many children are in each workshop?
    Group size will vary slightly depending on the activity and the venue. Maximum group size 20.
  • Do you provide food and drink?
    Refreshments are not included in the cost. Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and drinks for day workshops.
  • Do your provide aprons?
    Please bring an apron or old shirt to wear to protect your clothes. Good idea to wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit messy.
  • Are workshops accessible for children with additional needs?
    Our workshops and activities are designed to be flexible and adaptable and can be easily modified to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs. Talk to us and we can happily help.
  • Who delivers the workshops?
    Workshops and after school programmes are designed and led by Jo Rice - Curious Creators Founder and experienced workshop leader.
  • Are all materials provided?
    All materials and equipment are provided in the workshop price.
  • Can older or younger children come to the workshop?
    Most Curious Creator workshops are designed for 7-11 year olds. Older children are welcome to attend. If younger children would like to join we ask that they are accompanied by an adult. Adult would need to book an 'Accompanying Adult' ticket.
  • Do I need to stay with my child?
    There is no need to stay. You can drop off your child and pick up at end of workshop. But, if you would like to stay and join in the making and creating you would be very welcome. Just need to book an 'Accompanying Adult' ticket.
  • How do I book a holiday workshop or after school programme?
    HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS - All bookings for holiday workshops are online through the Curious Creators website. If you are unable to book online please contact us and we can explore alternate ways to book and pay. AFTER SCHOOL - All bookings and payments for after-school programmes are managed by the host school. Please check with the school about booking through their systems.
  • How do I pay for Curious Creator activities?
    Payment for Curious Creator holiday workshops is by credit or debit card through the Curious Creators website. If this is a barrier to attending call us and we can look at alternate ways to pay. Payment for after-school programmes is managed though the host schools. Please contact them about ways to pay.
  • Do you offer a reduced price for siblings?
    We offer a 5% reduction if more than one member of the same family is attending the same workshop or programme.
  • Are Curious Creators staff CRB checked?
    The Workshop Leader is CRB checked.
  • Are workshops risk assessed?
    A risk assessment is carried out for all our programmes and activities.
  • Do you have public liability insurance?
    Yes, Curious Creators have public liability insurance.
  • What is your photography policy?
    We only take photographs of the activities and the creative things that are produced. These are used for publicity and marketing. We don't take identifiable photographs of children. Occasionally hands might be in a photograph. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
